Jack Chown is a producer / composer based in London.

He graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in music, with his attention drawn to field recording and ethnographic work. Originally a percussionist, he also studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Steve Quigley (RPO, Sting) and Joby Burgess (Peter Gabriel, Max Richter). It was in the studio though that Jack truly found his passion, quickly garnering a reputation for forward-thinking production with a sensitive touch. 

After stints at Abbey Road and Baltic Studios, where he was fortunate to work alongside producers such as Andrew Wyatt, Kid Harpoon and Stint; and artists such as James Bay, Liam Gallagher and MIA; he is now based out of his own studio in East London. 

Infusing vintage synths, guitar pedals, samplers, shakers and vinyl; he specialises in the creation of organic or electronic sounds for; advertising, trailers, film/TV projects including; Asahi, Argos and Puma. Longer form projects include a Sky Arts documentary Ai Wei Wei at the Royal Academy of Arts and a collaboration with Roli Seaboard.
